Nathilee Caldeira, Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist, Board Member
Nathilee Caldeira, Ph.D., is the Founder and Director of Clinical Services of Let’s Talk Psychological Wellness, P.C. Dr. Caldeira received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Adelphi University and completed her doctoral internship at Columbia University Medical Center. She has been providing consultation, training, psychological assessment, individual, couples and group therapy services for more than 15 years. She has expertise in using evidence-based, relatively short-term treatments to address anxiety, depression, trauma and posttraumatic stress, alcohol and other substance use disorders.
Dr. Caldeira has served as a clinical psychologist and research scientist at New York area hospitals, including Columbia University Medical Center, New York State Psychiatric Institute/Columbia University, New York University School of Medicine, Beth Israel Medical Center, St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center and Martin Army Hospital (United States Army).
She has co-authored several articles in peer reviewed journals in the areas of trauma and addictions. She is the recipient of supplemental grants from the National Institute on Drug Abuse and the National Institute on Alcohol and Alcoholism.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Caldeira serves as an adjunct staff psychologist at the Columbia University Medical Center/Student Mental Health Center where she provides assessment and psychotherapy services to clinical students (medical, nursing, physical therapy, public health) on the medical campus.
Dr. Caldeira attended Queen’s College of Guyana from 1979-1986. She represented Guyana at the junior level in Badminton (1984-1986) at the Caribbean Badminton Championships (CAREBACO).’
