Who We Are

Blossom Inc. is an NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) that has been in operation since 2014. Blossom Inc. has 7 Child Advocacy Centres (CAC) in 5 of Guyana’s administrative regions (1, 2, 4, 7, and 10) with mobile services to Moruca. We also have extended services for migrant and host community support in 6 regions (1, 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8). However, Blossom Inc. works all across the country to provide its supportive services! Additional extended services include education, outreach and advocacy services that are delivered in every region across Guyana.

Blossom Inc. works in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security: Childcare and Protection Agency and the Guyana Police Force. Our services are funded by the government of Guyana, UNICEF, Spotlight Initiative through UN Guyana and the EU, PADF, IOM, UNHCR, UNFPA and donations from private sectors.

Blossom Inc. responds, delivers, and promotes evidenced-based and culturally responsive interventions and education services to children and families affected by sexual violence and exploitation. Our services are geared towards preventing and responding to incidences of child sexual abuse and exploitation and gender-based violence through our child advocacy centres, our migrant and host community services, and our education, outreach, and advocacy services. We provide mental health and psychosocial support, conduct forensic interviews, provide victim court support services, and coordinate outreach and awareness sessions to strengthen the child protective services in hinterland communities.
